Abstract

Efekt staklenika kao i energetska neovisnost je jedan od najvećih problema današnjice. Korištenjem energetskih kultura i njihovih derivata, razne države pokušavaju smanjiti emisiju CO2, rezultirajući zaštitom prirode i smanjenjem utjecaja staklenika. Europska unija kako bi doprinijela ovom cilju, donijela je novi politički okvir pod nazivom: Politički okvir za klimu i energiju u razdoblju od 2020. do 2030. U radu detaljno su opisana biogoriva, biomasa te najvažnije proces anaerobne digestije. Također, detaljnije je opisana korištena kultura divlje proso (Panicum virgatum L.), kao i njezina moguća upotreba. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti i analizirati komponente energetske vrijednosti kulture Panicum virgatum L., te prinos bioplina bioaugmentacijom. Proces bioaugmentacije obuhvaća dodatak određenih mikroorganizama u biokemijski proces anaerobne digestije kako bi se poboljšala proizvodnja bioplina, te optimizirao proces i razgradnja organske tvari.

Abstract (english)

The greenhouse effect as well as energy independence is one of the biggest problems today. By using energy crops and their derivatives, various countries are trying to reduce CO2 emissions, resulting in protection of nature and the reduction of the greenhouse effect. In order to contribute to this goal, the European Union adopted a new political framework entitled: Political framework for climate and energy in the period from 2020 to 2030. Biofuels, biomass and the important process of anaerobic digestion are described in detail in this study. Also, switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) used as the raw material in this study is described in detail, as well as its possible use. The aim of the research was to investigate and analyze the Panicum virgatum L. biomass, as well as to determine the yield of biogas after the bioaugmentation of anaerobic digesters. The bioaugmentation process included the addition of specific microorganisms to the anaerobic digester in order to improve the efficiency of the biogas production and optimize the process and decomposition of the organic matter.
