Abstract

Patogeni mikroorganizmi predstavljaju ozbiljnu prijetnju zdravlju ljudi, životinja i biljaka. Stoga postoji i velik interes za kontrolu i inhibiciju njihova rasta. Jedna od mogućih opcija je primjena ekstrakata različitih biljaka. U ovom radu korišteni su vodeni ekstrakti ružmarina i origana dobiveni ekstrakcijom uz visokonaponsko pražnjenje, te je ispitano njihovo inhibitorno djelovanje na različite sojeve fitopatogenih mikroorganizama, patogena koji uzrokuju bolesti kod ljudi i prenose se hranom te na višestruko rezistentne patogene bakterije. Inhibitorni utjecaj ekstrakata je ispitan metodom difuzije bunara u agaru i dvojnih kultura, te su određene minimalna inhibitorna (MIK) i minimalna baktericidna (MBK) koncentracija. Ekstrakt ružmarina nije pokazao inhibitorno djelovanje u odnosu na sve tretirane mikroorganizme, dok je ekstrakt origana pokazao inhibitorno djelovanje na dva soja Staphylococcus aureus, SA_6 i SA_7. MIK vrijednost ekstrakta origana za soj SA_6 iznosila je 12,5 %, dok je MBK vrijednost iznosila 25 %. MIK i MBK vrijednosti za soj SA_7 iznosile su 12,5 %.

Abstract (english)

Pathogenic microorganisms pose a serious threat to human, animal and plant health. Therefore, there is a great interest in controlling and inhibiting their growth. One of the possible options is the application of extracts of different plants. In this work, aqueous extracts of rosemary and oregano obtained by extraction with high-voltage discharge were used, and their inhibitory effect on phytopatogenic microorganisms, pathogens that cause diseases in humans and are transmitted through food, as well as on multi-resistant bacteria, was estimated. The inhibitory effect of the extracts was tested using the agar well diffusion as dual culture methoda, and the minimum inhibitory (MIC) and minimum bactericidal (MBC) concentrations were determined. Rosemary extract did not show an inhibitory effect on all treated microbes, while oregano extract showed an inhibitory effect on two strains of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, SA_6 and SA_7. The MIC value of the oregano extract for strain SA_6 was 12.5%, while the MBC value was 25%. MIC and MBC values for strain SA_7 were 12.5%.
