Zaraženost domaćih ekotipova češnjaka virusima

Abstract

Biljke češnjaka (Allium sativum L.) mogu biti inficirane na polju virusima rodova Potyvirus, Carlavirus i Allexivirus. Ovi virusi prenose se vegetativnim razmnožavanjem i vektorima. Cilj rada bio je ustvrditi učestalost pojave virusa češnjaka na proizvodnim površinama u Republici Hrvatskoj. Laboratorijska detekcija i identifikacija virusa žućenja i kržljavosti luka (Onion yellow dwarf virus, OYDV), virusa žute prugavosti poriluka (Leek yellow stripe virus, LYSV) te obično latentnog virusa češnjaka (Garlic common latent virus, GCLV) provedena je 2015. godine pomoću metode ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay). Ispitano je ukupno 407 uzoraka češnjaka s tri lokacije: Benkovac, Zagreb i Cerić. Ukupno 380 (94%) ispitanih biljaka je bilo zaraženo s barem jednim virusom dok kod 27 (6%) biljaka nije utvrđena prisutnost virusa uključenih u istraživanje. Svih 118 ispitanih uzoraka češnjaka s područja Cerića (Vukovarsko-srijemska županija) pokazali su mješovitu zarazu sa sva tri virusa. Uzorci iz Zagreba (232 uzorka) i Benkovca (57 uzoraka) pokazali su 87,9%-tnu odnosno 96,5% zarazu s OYDV, 12,9% uzoraka iz Zagreba te 3,5% iz Benkovca bilo je inficirano s GCLV dok se LYSV očitovao samo u Zagrebu kod 3,9% uzoraka. Rezultati ovoga istraživanja ukazuju na visok stupanj zaraze autohtonih sorti češnjaka virusima na više lokacija u Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

Garlic plants (Allium sativum L.) can be infected in the field by viruses from genus Potyvirus, Carlavirus and Allexivirus. Those viruses are disseminated by vegetative propagation and insect vectors. The aim of the thesis was to determine the presence frequency of three viruses of garlic on production areas in the Republic of Croatia. Laboratory detection and identification of Onion yellow dwarf virus (OYDV), Leek yellow stripe virus (LYSV) and Garlic common latent virus (GCLV), was carried out in 2015 using ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay). In total 407 samples of garlic from three locations (Benkovac, Zagreb and Cerić) were tested: 380 (94%) plants were infected by at least one virus, while 27 (6%) plants were free of viruses included in investigation. All 118 samples from Cerić area (Vukovar-Srijem County) showed mixed infection with three investigated viruses. Samples from Zagreb (232) and Benkovac (57) showed infection rate of 87,9%, and 96,5% with OYDV, 12,9% of samples from Zagreb and 3,5% of plants from Benkovac were infected with GCLV while LYSV was found only in Zagreb at the rate of 3,9%.The results showed high infection rate of native garlic varieties with viruses on several locations in Croatia.
