Abstract

U radu je prikazan kratak pregled podrijetla i širenja kulture agruma u Hrvatskoj pa tako i u svijetu. Hrvatsko obalno područje ima idealne klimatske i ekološke uvijete za uzgoj različitih vrsta agruma, kako kroz povijest tako i danas. Upravo će ekološki uvjeti proizvodnje biti glavni fokus ovog istraživačkog rada. Analizirajući tri poljoprivredne regije (sjevernojadranska, srednjojadranska i južnojadranska), određuju se mogućnosti podizanja nasada agruma s obzirom na ekološke čimbenike, isplativost proizvodnje, kao i njihov utjecaj na ruralni razvoj. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju kako je podneblje južne Hrvatske (Opuzen, Metković) najpovoljnije klimatsko područje za uzgoj agruma. Također, istraživanja potvrđuju kako je proteklih pet godina južni Jadran područje s najmanjim brojem oborina te nema mnogo nepovoljnih zimskih temperatura.

Abstract (english)

The paper presents a brief overview of the origin and spread ofthe citrus culture in Croatia and the world. The Adriatic part of Croatia has the best climate conditions but also ecological benefits for growing a variety of citrus fruits. The citrus culture exist inthis part of Croatia since the Roman Empire. The focus ofthis reserach work will be on climate conditions for citrus cultivation but also ecological conditions of the production. The analysis encompasses three Croatian citrus fruit regions: North Adriatic, Central Adriatic and South Adriatic region. Based on the data obtained, the possibilities of breeding citrus are determined by the obtained. Research result shows that the area of southern Dalmatia is the most favorable for citrus cultivation. This region is also area with the smallest number of preciptation.
