Abstract

Poljski osjak, vrsta (Cirsium arvense [L.] Scop.) je višegodišnji korov koji nanosi velike štete jer se s poljoprivrednom kulturom natječe za iste ograničene izvore: hraniva, vodu, svjetlo i prostor. Obilježja korovne vrste određuju njezine kompetitivne sposobnosti i interakciju između kulture i korova. Kompeticijski će nadjačati ona vrsta čija su biološka i ekološka obilježja bolje prilagođena pedoklimatskim uvjetima uzgoja. Korovna vrsta Cirsium arvense često nadvladava usjev kulture jer je bolje prilagođen nepovoljnim uvjetima okoliša, klimatskim promjenama i može nicati na različitim tipovima tala. Suzbijanje korova je važna i neophodna mjera u poljoprivredi, a današnja proizvodnja hrane zahtjeva i ekološki prihvatljive pristupe za suzbijanje korova (osobito kod primjene pesticida). Da bi se vrsta Cirsium arvense mogao uspješno suzbijati, potrebno je dobro poznavati njegova specifična biološka, morfološka i ekološka obilježja.

Abstract (english)

Creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense [L.] Scop.) is a perennial weeds in agriculture witch causes severe damages because competes with the culture for the same limited resources for: nutrients, water, light and space. The characteristics of weed species determine its competitive abilities and interaction between culture and weeds. It will win the species whose biological and ecological characteristics are better adapted to pedoclimatic conditions of cultivation. Cirsium arvense often overcomes crop culture because is better adapted to unfavorable environmental conditions, climate changes and can sprout in different soils. Weed control is important and necessary measure in agriculture and today's food production requires and environmentally friendly approaches for weed control (particularly in the application of pesticides). In order to Cirsium arvense could successfully suppress, it is necessary a good knowledge of its specific biological, morphological and ecological characteristics.
