Abstract

Kulturni krajobraz Starogradsko polje pod listom svjetske baštine UNESCO se najvećim dijelom manifestira kroz antičku podjelu zemljišta sačuvanu do današnjih dana i kroz poljoprivredne suhozidne oblike.Ovim diplomskim radom se prikazuje inventarizacija i tipologija suhozidnih struktura na Starogradskom polju. Prvi dio opisuje važnost suhozidnih struktura kroz inicijative, način razvoja poljoprivrednih i vlasničkih granica u suhozidima kroz povijest na Starogradskom polju, te dosadašnje tipologije suhozidnih međa i struktura. U svrhu rada pregledani su domaći i strani načini registriranja suhozida i mogućnost upotrebe geoinformatičke tehnologije. Drugi dio rada obuhvaća opis postupka rada i izrada prostornog podatka Suhozid pomoću alata Quantum GIS na četiri segmenta ukupne veličine cca 231.2 ha. Za svaki segment je obavljen terenski obilazak s opisom obuhvata i karakteristikama prostora, uz opis stanja, stila gradnje i teksture suhozidnih struktura. U konačnici ovim radom izrađen je registar suhozidnih struktura na Starogradskom polju koji može pridonijeti budućim idejama u načinu registriranja suhozidina, izradi tipologije, a time i ideje za njegovo upravljanju u svrhu očuvanja i održavanja.

Abstract (english)

The cultural landscape of the Stari Grad Plain, which is a part of the UNESCO world heritage list, manifests itself mostly through the ancient land division system preserved to this day, and through agriculturally significant dry stone walls.This thesis depicts the inventarisation and typology of the dry stone structures of the Stari Grad Plain. The first part describes the importance of dry stone structures through various initiatives, the development of agricultural purposes and ownership boundaries on the Stari Grad Plain, and the current typology of dry stone structures and boundaries. The research forthis thesis included examination of both domestic and foreign means of registering the drystone walls, and the proposition of the use of geoinformatic technology. The second part ofthe thesis includes a description of the work process and the making of the Suhozid spatial data through the use of the Quantum GIS for four segments with the approximate size of 231.2 hectares. The research of every segment consisted of field work which included the description of the scope and characteristics of the space, along with descriptions of architectural style, texture and state of the dry stone wall structures. Ultimately, this registry of dry stone wall structures of the Stari Grad Plain may contribute to the establishment of typology and future ideas on the means of registering dry stone walls, as well as to ideas on their management for the purpose of conservation and maintenance.
