Abstract

Grad Zagreb u svojem povijesnom kontinuitetu osniva i razvija značajne primjere uređenja i oblikovanja otvorenih gradskih javnih površina, posebice parkova i trgova. Mnoge od tih površina danas svojim uređenjem i/ili neadekvatnim održavanjem kontinuirano gube odlike kvalitetno uređenih prostora te ne postižu svoj puni potencijal kao mjesta boravišnih, ambijentalnih i funkcionalnih vrijednosti grada i gradskog života. Odabrani parkovi su analizirani i valorizirani prema unaprijed definiranim kriterijima i indikatorima kvalitete. Abstract (english)

The City of Zagreb, throughout its historical continuity, establishes and develops notable examples of the design and organization of open urban public spaces, particularly parks, squares, and streets. Many of these areas today, through their current design and/or inadequate maintenance, continually lose the characteristics of well-maintained spaces and lost to achieve their full potential as places of residential, ambient, and functional values of the city and urban life. The selected parks were analyzed and evaluated according to predefined criteria and quality indicators. The analysis revealed that certain Zagreb parks exhibit positive aspects but also numerous negative design features, thus not realizing their full potential.
