Abstract

Mrkva (Daucus carota L.) se ubraja u porodicu štitarki (Apiaceae). Dobar je izvor vitamina, minerala i vlakana te je bogata antioksidansima. U Hrvatskoj se uzgaja na nešto više od 250 ha s prosječnim prirodom od 24 t/ha i ukupnom proizvodnjom od 11900 t. Veći broj štetnih organizama ugrožava proizvodnju mrkve, a među najznačajnijima su mrkvina muha, lisne uši, nematode te štetni kukci koji žive u tlu i čine štetu na korijenu. Abstract (english)

Carrot belongs to the Apiaceae family. It is a good source of vitamins, minerals, fiber and rich in antioxidants. In Croatia, it is cultivated on slightly more than 250 ha with an average yield of 24 t/ha and a total production of 11,900 t. The carrot production is threatened by a large number of harmful organisms.
