Abstract

Vrste Verticillium dahliae, Xylella fastidiosa te gljive iz porodice
Botryosphaeriaceae su patogeni organizmi koji spadaju u patogene drva masline.
Uzrokuju začepljenje provodnog staničja drva pa mogu dovesti do bolesti sušenja
izbojaka i stabla masline te predstavljaju ozbiljan fitosanitarni rizik. Stoga je bitno
razumjeti ove značajne patogene i njihovu interakciju s maslinom kao domaćinom, u
kontekstu suvremenog maslinarstva, u agroekosustavima izloženima klimatskim
promjenama, a s ciljem uspješne i održive zaštite masline od bolesti drva.

Abstract (english)

The species Verticillium dahliae, Xylella fastidiosa and fungi from the family
Botryosphaeriaceae are pathogenic organisms categorized under pathogens of olive
wood. They cause clogging of conductive wood cells, so they can lead to the disease
of drying shoots and represent a phytosanitary risk. Therefore, it is essential to
understand these significant pathogens and their interaction with the olive as a host,
in the context of modern olive growing, in agroecosystems exposed to climate
change, and with the aim of successful and sustainable protection of the olive from
wood diseases.
