Abstract

Grad Dubrovnik i njegovo šire područje, posebno ono obalno privlače veliki broj posjetitelja zbog svojih kulturnih i prirodnih vrijednosti. Zbog opterećenja turizma dolazi do ubrzane i neplanske izgradnje i pritiska na postojeću infrastrukturu, te se pritom javnim zelenim površinama smanjuje veličina, sadržaj, namjena i kvaliteta. U kontekstu planiranja i oblikovanja turističkih kompleksa, zelene površine i vegetacija imaju presudnu ulogu u stvaranju privlačnog i održivog krajobraza. U radu se istražila tipologija zelenih površina i analizirala vegetacija turističkih kompleksa, te na koji način takve površine mogu utjecati na ekološku vrijednost i ne-posredno na opću kvalitetu života u urbanim sredinama gdje je nedostajalo javnih zelenih površina. Ispitala se povezanost turizma i bioraznolikosti, te njihov potencijal za implementaciju kroz holistički održivi turizam. Promišljene promjene u planiranju i upravljanju strukturom i kvalitetom zelenih površina mogu osigurati dugoročnu održivost i atraktivnost za istraživano područje ne samo kroz turizam već i za svakodnevne korisnike prostora.

Abstract (english)

The city of Dubrovnik and its surrounding area, especially the coastal regions, attract a large number of visitors due to their cultural and natural values. However, the tourism industry has led to rapid and unplanned construction, putting pressure on existing infrastructure, and resul-ting in a reduction in the size, content, purpose, and quality of public green spaces. In the con-text of planning and designing tourist complexes, green areas and vegetation play a crucial role in creating an attractive and sustainable landscape. This work explores the typology of green spaces and analyzes the vegetation within tourist complexes, examining how such areas can impact ecological value and overall quality of life in urban environments where public green spaces are lacking. The connection between tourism and biodiversity is examined, a-long with their potential for implementation through holistic sustainable tourism. Deliberate changes in the planning and management of the structure and quality of green spaces can en-sure long-term sustainability and attractiveness for the studied area, benefiting not only tou-rism but also everyday users of the space.
