Abstract

Jedna od važnijih tema današnjice je tema rodne nejednakosti koja je vidljiva u svim sferama života. Interpretirani rezultati brojnih istraživanja potvrdili su da je rodna nejednakost i dalje sastavni dio našeg društva, a najviše se primjećuje u ruralnim sredinama. Položaj žena u ruralnim područjima Hrvatske nije zadovoljavajući. Žene i dalje snose posljedice tradicionalne kulture i patrijarhalnih stavova, same obavljaju sve kućanske poslove i brinu o odgoju djece, nemaju slobodnog vremena i višestruko su opterećene. Cilj rada je saznati nastavljaju li se modernizacijski procesi na selu u Hrvatskoj ili se istovremeno događa i proces retradicionalizacije rodnih uloga i položaja žena u društvu. Usporedbom rezultata dostupnih istraživanja na području Republike Hrvatske pokušat ćemo saznati postoje li razlike između pojedinih regija te ćemo isto potkrijepiti statističkim podacima. Ključ za osvješćivanje žena i postizanje rodne jednakosti u društvu je obrazovanje koje ženama omogućava konkurentnost na tržištu rada i pomaže njihovom osobnom napretku. Trenutna obrazovna struktura ruralnih žena je nepovoljna, najviši je postotak žena sa završenom srednjom školom. Neravnopravan položaj žena ogleda se i na tržištu rada gdje se žene svakodnevno susreću sa različitim oblicima diskriminacije. Na vodećim položajima uglavnom se nalaze muškarci, a za obavljanje istog posla žene su manje plaćene u odnosu na muškarce. Radni status ruralnih žena je vrlo nepovoljan, iako su zadnjih godina žene postale obrazovanije, to nažalost nije popratio njihov radni status. Iako je vidljivo poboljšanje zastupljenosti žena u tijelima političkog odlučivanja na svim nivoima, društveni položaj žena se sporo mijenja te i dalje dominiraju patrijarhalni obrasci. Posebno poglavlje posvećeno je važnom društvenom problemu, nasilju nad ženama, koje je svakodnevno prisutno, ali se vrlo malo govori o njemu. Ruralna područja i dalje karakteriziraju tradicionalni stavovi, dok se u urbanim sredinama primjećuje veći pomak prema modernosti.

Abstract (english)

One of the most important topic today is a gender inequality which is visible in all segments of a life. Interpreted results of many explorations have confirmed that gender inequality is still the main component of our society, and it is the most visible in rural areas. The position of women in Croatian rural areas isn't pleasant. Women still deal whith consequences of traditional culture and patriarchal attitudes, doing houseworks on their own and taking care about children, they don't have free time and they have been multiple load. The aim of my work is to find out does the modernization processes in Croatia's villages continue or there is, at the same time , in progress of retraditionalization of the gender roles and the position of women in society. Comparising of different explorations in Croatia, we shall try to find out if there are any differences between some regions and we shall corroborate findings by statistical data. A key for raising a warness of women and reaching gender inequality in society is education which approves the competitiveness in the labor market and affects on their own personal progress. Educational structure of rural women is unpleasant, the most of the women reach highschool education. We can see women's inequality in the labor market where the women are forced with different forms of discrimination. There are mostly men in leadership position, while the women are less payed in the same positions then the men are. Rural women's employment status is also very untoward. Although women become more educated during last years, that unfortunately isn't followed by their employment status. Improving the representation of women is visible in the political decision making bodies at all levels, change of the women's social status is very slow with still dominating patriarchal forms. Special chapter is dedicated to the important problem in society, violence against women, which is every day present but it is very little spoken about it. Traditional attitudes are still caracteristics of the rural areas, while in the urban areas we can see bigger step to the modernisation.
