Askomicetne gljive iz roda Cytospora (teleomorf Valsa/Leucostoma) značajni su endofiti ili patogeni organizmi koji se nalaze u drvenastim biljkama u prirodnim i agro-ekosustavima. Iako se smatraju oportunističkim patogenim organizmima, vrste iz roda Cytospora dobivaju na važnosti posljednjih desetljeća. Abstract (english)

Ascomycete fungi of the genus Cytospora (Valsa / Leucostoma teleomorph) are significant endophytes or pathogenic organisms found in woody plants in natural and agro-ecosystems. Although considered opportunistic pathogens, species of the genus Cytospora have gained in importance in recent decades. The reason for this is the frequent discovery of new and significant diseases that occur especially on cultivated woody plants.
