Abstract

Žitni balci (Oulema sp.) pripadaju u najvažnije štetnike strnih žitarica u Europi. Štetu čine ličinke i odrasli oblici na način da progrizaju listove strnih žitarica. Cilj rada je utvrditi osjetljivost odraslih oblika žitnog balca na aktivne tvari iz skupine piretroida, te komercijalnih botaničkih insekticida i biljnih ekstrakata zbog sve češće pojave rezistentnosti. Tijekom 2021. godine prikupljeni su odrasli oblici crvenog žitnog balca na lokalitetu Šašinovec. Prikupljeni uzorci dopremljeni su na Zavod za poljoprivrednu zoologiju gdje je postavljen laboratorijski pokus, prema IRAC test metodi broj 007. Rezultati su pokazali kako je populacija crvenog žitnog balca rezistentna na aktivnu tvar lambda-cihalotrin, azadirahtin te biljni ekstrakt lavande, dok je kod primjene piretrina i biljnog ekstrakta mente bila visoko osjetljiva. U svrhu smanjenja pojave rezistentnosti potrebno je provoditi agrotehničke mjere te dobru poljoprivrednu praksu.

Abstract (english)

Cereal leaf beetle (Oulema sp.) are the most important pests of cereals in Europe. The damage is caused by larvae and adult forms by biting leaves of cereals. The aim of this study was to determine the sensitivity of adult forms of cereal leaf beetle to active substances from the group of pyrethroides, as well as commercial botanical insecticides and plant extracts due to the increasing occurrence of resistance. During 2021, adult forms of cereal leaf beetle were collected at the Šašinovec. The collected samples were delivered to the Department of Agricultural Zoology, where a laboratory experiment was set up according to IRAC test method number 007. The results showed that the population of cereal leaf beetle was resistant to the active substance lambda-cyhalothrin, azadirachtin and lavender plant extract, while it was highly sensitive to the use of pyrethrin and mint plant extract. In order to reduce the occurrence of resistance, it is necessary to implement agro-technical measures and good agricultural practice.
