Abstract

Korovi su biljke koje od svih štetnih organizama nanose najveće gubitke poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji. Suzbijanje korova uglavnom se obavlja primjenom herbicida. U posljednje vrijeme sve više jača svijest o negativnim učincima herbicida na okoliš te se poljoprivreda usmjerava ekološki prihvatljivim metodama suzbijanja korova. Jedna od mogućnosti je sjetva pokrovnih kultura. Pokrovni usjevi se ne uzgajaju za berbu, već da bi pružili akgoekološke koristi za tlo i biljnu proizvodnju. U tu svrhu mogu se koristiti različite pojedinačne kulture ili smjese kultura koje imaju brojne pozitivne učinke na eroziju, kvalitetu i plodnost tla, te na zaštitu tla od bolesti, štetnika i korova. Pregledom literature utvrđeni su brojni pozitivni učinci pokrovnih usjeva na potiskivanje korova kojima otežavaju rast i razvoj izravnom kompeticijom za osnovne resurse i/ili alelopatijom.

Abstract (english)

Weeds are the plants that cause the greatest losses of agricultural production of all harmful organisms. Weed control is mainly done by applying herbicides. Recently, there is a growing awareness of the negative effects of herbicides on the environment, and agriculture is focusing on environmentally friendly methods of weed control. One option is to sow cover crops. Cover crops are not grown for harvest, but to provide environmental benefits for soil and crop production. For this purpose, various individual crops or mixtures of crops can be used that have numerous positive effects on soil erosion, quality and fertility, and on the protection of soil from diseases, pests and weeds. A review of the literature has identified a number of positive effects of cover crops on weed control that hinder growth and development through direct competition for basic resources and / or allelopathy.
