Abstract

Povećanjem stanovništva i gospodarstva dovodi do sve veće upotrebe fosilnih goriva uslijed povećanih potreba za energijom. Neobnovljivost, cijena i negativan utjecaj na okoliš dovode u pitanje racionalnost korištenja fosilnih goriva, a uz to intenzivno i nekontrolirano korištenje fosilnih goriva dovelo je do velikih ekoloških problema, stoga se uvode obnovljivi izvori energije. Uz energiju sunčeva zračenja, geotermalnu energiju te energiju vjetra, mora zanimljiva je obnovljiva energija iz biomase. Za te potrebe uzgajaju se usjevi isključivo korišteni za dobivanje obnovljive energije.
Cilj uzgoja takvih energetskih kultura je proizvodnja što veće mase po jedinici površine, uz što manje tretiranja i obrade. Jedna od takvih višegodišnjih kultura je i miskantus. Zahvaljujući svojoj otpornosti i visokom prinosu biomase provode se mnoga istraživanja u svrhu utvrđivanja energetskog potencijala.

Abstract (english)

The expansion of population and economy results in the increase use of fossil fuels due to the growing need for energy. Non-renewability, price and negative impact on the environment call into question the rational use of fossil fuels. Moreover, intensive, uncontrolled use of fossil fuels has led to major environmental problems so renewable energy sources are being introduced. Alongside solar, wind, sea and geothermal energy, renewable energy from biomass is starting to look interesting.
For these needs, crops are grown exclusively to be used for obtaining renewable energy.
The goal of growing such energy crops is to produce as much mass per unit area as possible,with as little treatment and processing as possible.One such perennial crop is miscanthus. Due to its resistance and high biomass yield, many researches are performed in order to determine energy potential.
