Abstract

Razvoj društva neminovno dovodi do rastuće potrebe za proizvodnjom hrane i energije, što svakako ima utjecaja na okoliš. Kako bi se energetski održivo gospodarilo biomasom nužno je provesti energetsku bilancu, koja se koristi za procjenu učinkovitosti nekog sustava i njegovog utjecaja na okoliš. Temeljem ukupnih energetskih ekvivalenta ulaza i izlaza u agroekosustavima, za energetsku analizu izračunavaju se omjer energije, energetska produktivnost, neto energija i specifična energija. Energetska bilanca je usporedba unosa i izlaza energije tj. omjer iznosa energije u odnosu na ulaz energije u cjelokupnom sustavu. Cilj rada je objediniti literaturne podatke bazirane na bilanci energije i energetske učinkovitosti tijekom proizvodnje biomase uzgojem trave Miscanthus x giganteus u Europi (Srbija, Danska, Poljska, Italija, Turska, Belgija i Njemačka). Miscanthus x giganteus ističe se dobrom prilagodljivosti uzgoju u različitim agroekološkim uvjetima, samim time moguće je ostvariti visoke prinose suhe tvari po jedinici površine. Obzirom na male zahtjeve prema ulaganjima u agrotehničke mjere te potencijalno visoke prinose, istraživana trava predstavlja dobar primjer kulture za proizvodnju energije.

Abstract (english)

The development of society inevitably leads to a growing need for food and energy production, which certainly has an environmental impact. In order to manage biomass energy sustainably, it is necessary to carry out an energy balance, which is used to evaluate the efficiency of a system and its environmental impact. Based on the total energy equivalents of inputs and outputs in agroecosystems, the energy ratio, energy productivity, net energy and specific energy are calculated for energy analysis. An energy balance is a comparison of energy inputs and outputs, that is, the ratio of the amount of energy to the energy input of the entire system. The aim of the paper is to consolidate the literature data based on the energy balance and energy efficiency during biomass production by cultivation of Miscanthus x giganteus grass in Europe (Serbia, Denmark, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Belgium and Germany). Miscanthus x giganteus stands out for its good adaptability to cultivation in different agro-ecological conditions, thus allowing high yields of dry matter per unit area. Given the low investment requirements for agricultural measures and the potentially high yields, the grass studied is a good example of a crop for energy production.
