Abstract

Morska cvjetnica posidonija (Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile) endem je Sredozemnog mora i jedna od četiri morskih cvjetnica koje možemo pronaći u Jadranskom moru. Za razliku od algi, ove morske kritosjemenjače imaju korijen, stabljiku, list i cvijet. Livade posidonije su poput ostalih vrsta osjetljive zbog svog sporog rasta i sporog obnavljanja. Livade posidonije odbacuju svoje staro lišće koje valovi nanose na obalu i u ovom trenutku takvi nanosi predstavljaju problem u turizmu. Ovim istraživanjem utvrdit će se mogućnost zbrinjavanja posidonije kroz proizvodnju toplinske i električne energije. Ovisno o dobivenim rezultatima utvrditi će se potencijal otpalog lišća posidonije pri proizvodnji energije uz istodobno kvalitetnije upravljanje organskim otpadom nastalim kao produkt razvoja turizma te njegovim zbrinjavanjem prema propisanim standardima uz postizanje dodatne vrijednosti.

Abstract (english)

Neptune grass or Mediterranean tapeweed (Posidonia oceanica) (L.) Delile) is a seagrass species which is endemic in Mediterranean Sea and one of the four flowering plants in Adriatic Sea. Unlike algae, these sea angiosperms have roots, steams, leaves and flowers. Posidonia oceanica meadows are like other species susceptible because of their slow growth and slow recovery. Neptune grass meadows reject their old leaves that waves inflict on the shore and at this point that represent a problem in tourism. This research will determine the energy utilization of Neptune grass for the purpose of transforming biomass energy into heat and electricity. Depending on the results obtained, potential of Posidonia oceanica leaves will be determined in the production of energy while at the same time improving the quality of organic waste management as a product of tourism development and its management according to the prescribed standards while achieving additional value.
