Abstract

Glavni cilj ovog završnog rada bio je utvrditi indeks rezistentnosti korovne vrste
Echinochloa crus-galli na herbicid nikosulfuron. U istraživanju su korištene dvije različite
populacije: osjetljiva (S) i rezistentna (R) populacija. Sjeme koštana prikupljeno sa pokušališta
Šašinovečki Lug (45˚50´59.6 ʺN 16˚09´53.9 ʺE) korišteno je u istraživanju osjetljive populacije,
dok je za rezistentnu populaciju korišteno sjeme koštana prikupljenog sa područja Bazija
(45˚91´54.13 ʺN 17˚45´51.4 ʺE). Osjetljiva populacija tretirana je primjenjujući linearno
padajuću dozu herbicida (2x – 1/128x), dok je rezistentna populacija tretirana primjenjujući
linearno rastuću dozu herbicida (1/2x – 64x). Naredni period nakon obavljenog tretiranja
obavljala se vizualna ocjena (7/14/21/28 DNT), a zatim je izvagana svježa masa nadzemnog
dijela korovne vrste Echinochloa crus-galli. Uspješno je izrađena dose-response krivulja za
potencijalno osjetljivu populaciju koštana te ED50 koji iznosi 0,11 l/ha nikosulfurona, dok je
ED90 0,21 l/ha, što je značajnije umanjena doza herbicida nikosulfurona potrebna za njeno
suzbijanje. Za redukciju 50 % nadzemne mase bilo je potrebno 11,5 puta manja doza
nikosulfurona od propisane, dok je za čak šest puta manju dozu nikosulfuron bio učinkovit u
redukciji 90 % nadzemne mase koštana. Zbog nemogućnosti izrade dose-response krivulje za
potencijalno rezistentnu populaciju nije bilo moguće izračunati ED50, a ni samim time indeks
rezistentnosti. Kod potencijalno rezistentne populacije za prikaz rezultata koristila se vizualna
ocjena i svježa masa, koja uvelike prikazuje znatnu redukciju nadzemne mase koštana (75 –
100 %).

Abstract (english)

The main objective of this thesis was to determine the resistance index of the weed
species Echinochloa crus-galli to the herbicide nicosulfuron. Two different populations were
used in the research: a potentially sensitive (S) and a potentially resistant (R) population.
Barnyardgrass seeds collected from the Šašinovečki Lug (45˚50´59.6 ʺN 16˚09´53.9 ʺE)
experimental site were used in the study of the sensitive population, while barnyard grass seeds
collected from the area of Bazije (45˚91´54.13 ʺN 17˚45´51.4 ʺE) were used for the resistant
population. The sensitive (S) population was treated by applying a linearly decreasing dose of
herbicide (2x – 1/128x), while the resistant population was treated by applying a linearly
increasing herbicide dose (1/2x – 64x). The following period after the treatment was performed,
a visual assessment was performed (7/14/21/28 days after treatment), and then the fresh mass
of the above-ground part of the experiment was weighed; that is, the weed species Echinochloa
crus-galli. A dose-response curve was successfully created for a potentially sensitive
barnyardgrass population, and the ED50 is 0,11 l/ha of nicosulfuron, while the ED90 is 0,21 l/ha,
which is a significantly reduced dose of the herbicide nicosulfuron required for its control. For
the reduction of 50 % of the above-ground mass, 11,5 times smaller dose of nicosulfuron than
prescribed was needed, while even six times smaller dose of nicosulfuron was effective in
reducing 90 % of the above-ground barnyard grass. Due to the impossibility of creating a doseresponse curve for a
potentially resistant population, it was not possible to calculate the ED50 or the resistance index. In the case of a potentially resistant population, the fresh mass was used to show the results, which largely shows a significant reduction in the above-ground barnyardgrass mass (75 – 100%).
