Utjecaj osmotskog potencijala na klijavost sjemena kameline i gorušice

Abstract

Stres suše može odgoditi početak klijanja, smanjiti postotak klijanja te smanjiti nicanje klijanaca što kasnije može imati određene negativne utjecaje na rast biljaka i konačni prinos usjeva. U ovom istraživanju, provedenom u laboratorijskim uvjetima, analizirala se i utvrdila klijavost dvije alternativne uljarice; kameline (Camelina sativa L.) i gorušice (Sinapis alba L.) na različitim razinama osmotskog potencijala kako bi se odredio učinak smanjenog osmotskog potencijala na ukupnu klijavost sjemena, indeks stope klijavosti, vrijeme do 50% klijavosti sjemena i indeks klijavosti. Osim navedenog, ispitivane su navedene dvije alternativne uljarice u odnosu na uljanu repicu koja se najčešće koristi u poljoprivrednoj praksi. Kod obje alternativne uljarice utvrđeni su bolji parametri klijanja u suši nego kod uljane repice. Najveći postotak klijanja kod smanjenog osmotskog potencijala -0,6 MPa (slabi intenzitet suše) utvrđen je kod gorušice, dok je kod smanjenog osmotskog potencijala od -1 MPa i -1,4 MPa (srednjeg i jakog intenziteta suše) utvrđen kod kameline. Prethodno spomenute alternativne uljarice bi mogle služiti kao zamjena u proizvodnji značajnih uljarica, zbog bolje prilagodbe na stres suše u klijanju.

Abstract (english)

Drought stress can delay the start of germination, reduce the percentage of germination and reduce seedling emergence, which can later have certain negative effects on plant growth and the final crop yield. In this research, carried out in laboratory conditions, the germination of two alternative oilseeds were analyzed and determined; camellia (Camelina sativa L.) and mustard (Sinapis alba L.) at different levels of osmotic potential to determine the effect of reduced osmotic potential on total seed germination, germination rate index, time to 50% seed germination and germination index. In addition to the above, two alternative oilseeds were examined in relation to rapeseed, which is most often used in agricultural practice. In both alternative oilseeds, better germination parameters were determined in drought conditions than in rapeseed. The highest percentage of germination at a reduced osmotic potential of -0.6 MPa (weak drought intensity) was found in mustard, while at a reduced osmotic potential of -1 MPa and -1.4 MPa (medium and strong drought intensity), it was found in camelina. The previously mentioned alternative oilseeds could serve as a substitute in the production of significant oilseeds, due to better adaptation to drought stress during germination.
