Abstract

Antička Scardona sa zaleđem koje omeđuju toponimi Varvaria (Bribir) i Burnum (Ivoševci) svoju je poljoprivrednu proizvodnju i opskrbu stanovništvom hranom bazirala na neolitičkim kulturama sa tog područja od kojih je naslijedila načine uzgoja raznih poljoprivrednih kultura. Antička proizvodnja imala je za svoju osnovu uzgoj kultura unutar zidina naselja i gradova (intra muros) a posebno je vezana uz gradske vile (villa urbana) te obradu poljoprivrednog tla izvan zidina grada (extra muros) kao i rustične vile (villa rustica) koje su bile centri opsežnije poljoprivredne proizvodnje.
O načinima proizvodnje, prehrani i trgovinskim pravcima namirnica saznajemo kroz arheološke nalaze popraćene antropološkim, arheobotaničkim i osteološkim analizama, ali i pedološku kartu koja ima podatke koji su osnova za razumijevanje uzgoja u prošlosti. Potvrde kultura nalaze se posredno i kroz poganske kultove koji su se održavali na ovom području.
Temeljeno na gore navedenim saznanjima moguće je rekonstruirati izgled svakodnevice u antičkoj Scardoni – Skradinu. Objasnit će se koje vrste poljoprivrednih proizvoda i kultura su se uzgajale na tom području, a koje su se zbog broja stanovnika u okruženju trebale priskrbiti iz ostalih dijelova Carstva.
Prometni pravci kopnom u zaleđu Scardone kao i riječno-morski pravci s izgrađenom infrastrukturom (ceste i luke) omogućavali su trgovinu i plasman viška proizvoda i opskrbu nedostatnim namirnicama.

Abstract (english)

Ancient Scardona with hinterland bounded by the toponyms Varvaria (Bribir) and Burnum (Ivoševci) based its agricultural production and food supply to the population on Neolithic cultures from that area, from which she inherited the ways of growing various agricultural crops. Ancient production was based on growing crops inside the wall of settlements and cities (intra muros) and is especially related to city villas (villa urbana) and cultivation of agricultural soil outside the city walls - extra muros, as well as rustic villas (villa rustica) which were centers of more extensive agricultural production.
We learn about the methods of production, nutrition and food trade routes through archaeological findings accompanied by anthropological, archaeobotanical and osteological analyses, but also a pedological map that has data that is the basis for understanding cultivation in the past. Receipts culture are found indirectly and through the pagan cults that took place in this area.
Based on the above knowledge, it is possible to reconstruct the appearance everyday life in ancient Scardona - Skradin. It will be explained what types of agricultural products and crops were grown in that area, which due to the number of inhabitants in environment should be provided from other parts of the Empire.
Transport routes by land in the hinterland of Scardona as well as river-sea routes with built infrastructure (roads and ports) enabled trade and the placement of surplus products and supply insufficient food.
