Abstract

Ruže pripadaju rodu Rosa koji obuhvaća oko 140 različitih vrsta i 13000 podvrsta ruže. Napadaju je mnoge bolesti i štetnici od kojih je bolest mozaika ruže jedna od najčešćih viroza koja uzrokuje značajne ekonomske štete te izaziva promjenu boje lišća (mozaik), prstenastu pjegavost, deformaciju te smanjenu cvatnju i vitalnost biljke. Uzročnici navedene bolesti su virus nekrotične prstenaste pjegavosti trešnje (eng. prunus necrotic ringspot virus, PNRSV) i/ili virus mozaika jabuke (eng. apple mosaic virus, ApMV) koji pripadaju porodici Bromoviridae i rodu Ilarvirus. Trodijelne su strukture koja se sastoji od triju jednolančanih ribonukleinskih kiselina (RNK) koje dolaze u izometrijskim česticama, a sadrže i jednu subgenomsku RNK. Glavni način prijenosa bolesti mozaika ruže je cijepljenje zaraženih pupova ili mladica na zdrave biljke. ApMV i PNRSV je u ruži moguće detektirati pomoću ELISA metode, RT – PCR-a ili nacjepljivanjem pupa na indikatorsku biljku od kojih su se dobro pokazale sorte Queen Elizabeth i Madame Butterfly. Moguće je i ozdravljenje biljaka korištenjem termoterapije, odnosno zagrijavanjem bočnih pupoljaka zaraženih biljaka na temperaturi od 38 °C tijekom 28 do 35 dana u kombinaciji sa kulturom vršnog meristema.

Abstract (english)

Roses belong to the genus Rosa, which includes about 140 different species and 13000 subspecies of roses. It is affected by many diseases and pests, one of the most common of which is rose mosaic disease, which causes significant economic damage and a change in leaf color (mosaic), ring spots, deformities and reduced flowering and vitality of the plant. The causal agents of the aforementioned disease are prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV) and/or apple mosaic virus (ApMV), which belong to the Bromoviridae family and the Ilarvirus genus. They are tripartite structures consisting of three single-stranded ribonucleic acids (RNAs) that are present in isometric particles and also contain a subgenomic RNA. The main source of rose mosaic disease transmission is grafting of infected buds or scions onto healthy plants. The viruses ApMV and PNRSV can be detected in roses by the ELISA method, RT – PCR, or by inoculation of buds on an indicator plant, and the cultivars Queen Elizabeth and Madame Butterfly performed well. It is also possible to cure the plants using thermotherapy, by heating the lateral buds of infected plants at a temperature of 38 °C for 28 to 35 days in combination with an apical meristem culture.
