Abstract

Utjecaj čimbenika okoliša, kao što su vlaga, temperatura i svjetlost na rast i razvoj biljaka dobro
su istraženi. Međutim, dostupno je malo informacija o učincima zvuka na rast, fiziološke i
biokemijske procese biljaka. Dosadašnja istraživanja ukazuju da su biljke vrlo osjetljivi
organizmi koji reagiraju na zvučne signale iz svoje okoline. Cilj ovog rada je bio utvrditi utjecaj
zvuka različitih frekvencija (0 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz) na rast i aktivnost enzima stresa kod model
biljke bosiljka. Utvrđeno je da tretman zvukom od 250 i 500 Hz pozitivno utječe na rast biljke
bosiljka, kao i masu suhe i svježe tvari. Također tretman zvukom istih frekvencija značajno je
utjecao na sadržaj proteina u listu bosiljka te aktivnost superoksid-dismutaze i peroksidaze.

Abstract (english)

Environmental factors such as humidity, temperature, and light, on the growth and
development of plants, are well-researched. However, little information is available on the
effects of sound on growth, physiological, and biochemical processes of plants. Previous
research indicates that plants are very sensitive organisms that respond to sound signals from
their environment. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of sound of different
frequencies (0 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz) on the growth and activity of stress enzymes in the model
plant basil. It was found that sound treatment at 250 and 500 Hz positively affects the growth
of basil plants, as well as the weight of dry and fresh matter. Also, sound treatment at the
same frequencies significantly affected the protein content in the basil leaf and the activity of
superoxide dismutase and peroxidase.
