Abstract

Rajčica je zeljasta jednogodišnja biljka iz porodice Solanaceae. Plodovi rajčice sadrže oko 93 do 95% vode, odnosno 5 do 7% suhe tvari, organskih kiselina (limunske i jabučne), šećera (glukoze, fruktoze i saharoze), tvari netopivih u alkoholu (proteini, celuloza, pektin, polisaharidi), karotenoida i lipida. Hidroponski uzgoj sve se više primjenjuje i u Hrvatskoj zbog boljeg upravljanja čimbenicima tijekom rasta i razvoja biljaka s ciljem dobivanja plodova veće kvalitete, većeg prinosa te dužeg perioda berbe čime se omogućava ponuda svježe rajčice tijekom cijele godine. Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi utjecaj supstrata tekućih mikroalgi, mikročestica nosača kalcijevih iona te mikročestice nosača mikroalgi na prinos, kemijski sastav (ukupni karotenoidi i ukupni polifenoli) te antioksidacijsku aktivnost plodova rajčice u hidroponskom uzgoju. U ovom istraživanju pokus je postavljen prema split plot metodi, u tri ponavljanja. Tretiranje se vršilo na tri kultivara rajčice: 'Fiorentino', 'NUN 09231 TOF', 'Zagrebačka rana'. Rezultati su pokazali pozitivan utjecaj mikročestica na prinos i kemijski sastav ploda rajčice.

Abstract (english)

Tomato is a herbaceous annual plant from the Solanaceae family. Tomatoes contain about 93 to 95% water, with 5 to 7% dry matter, organic acids (citric and malic), sugars (glucose, fructose, and sucrose), substances insoluble in alcohol (proteins, cellulose, pectin, polysaccharides), carotenoids, and lipids. Hydroponic cultivation enables the availability of fresh tomatoes throughout the year. Tomato cultivation in protected production systems is increasingly being applied for better monitoring of plant growth and development, aiming to achieve higher-quality fruits, increased yields, and a longer harvesting period. The goal of this study was to determine the influence of substrates of liquid microalgae, calcium ion carrier micro-particles, and micro-particles carrying microalgae on the yield, chemical composition (total carotenoids and total polyphenols), and antioxidant activity of tomato fruits in hydroponic cultivation. In this research, the experiment was set up using a split-plot method with three repetitions. Treatment was carried out on three tomato cultivars: 'Fiorentino', 'NUN 09231 TOF', and 'Zagrebačka rana'. The results showed a positive influence of micro-particles on tomato fruit yield and chemical composition.
