Abstract

Krumpir je kultura osjetljiva na sušu te je podložan gubitku kvantitete i kvalitete prinosa zbog stresa kojeg izaziva suša. U jeku globalno izraženih klimatskih promjena, izazov moderne agronomske znanosti je osigurati stabilnost kvantitete i kvalitete prinosa krumpira. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati utjecaj stresa suše na kemijske parametre kvalitete gomolja pet tradicijskih hrvatskih genotipova krumpira. Utvrđeno je da je stres suše negativno utjecao na sve ispitivane genotipove, ali da odgovori tih genotipova na stres suše nisu bili jednaki. Iako je stres suše uzrokovao smanjenje RWC-a i negativno utjecao na smanjenje mase gomolja, neki od korištenih genotipova su, prema analizama kemijskih parametara kvalitete, pokazali tolerantnost na sušu. Analize su pokazale da postoje genotipovi koji u uvjetima stresa suše mogu zadržati zadovoljavajuću i relativno visoku kvalitetu gomolja, iako je gubitak kvantitete, barem u ovom istraživanju, neizbježan.

Abstract (english)

Potato is a drought sensitive crop and is susceptible to a loss in both quantity and quality of yield due to the stress caused by drought. In the midst of globally pronounced climate change, the challenge of modern agronomic science is to ensure the stability of potato yield quantity and quality. The aim of this research was to investigate the impact of drought stress on the chemical parameters of tuber quality of five traditional Croatian potato genotypes. It was found that drought stress had a negative effect on all tested genotypes, but the responses of these genotypes to drought stress were not equal. Although drought stress led to a reduction in RWC and negatively affected the tuber mass reduction, some of the genotypes used showed tolerance to drought based on chemical quality parameter analyses. The analyses revealed that there are genotypes that can maintain satisfactory and relatively high tuber quality under drought stress conditions, although a loss in quantity, at least in this study, is unavoidable
