Abstract

Ribolov u svjetskim morima već je godinama dostigao svoj maksimum, tako da je na mnogim područjima vidljiv i prelov pojedinih vrsta riba, pa i cijelih ribljih zajednica. Istovremeno se proizvodnja u akvakulturi vrlo brzo povećava, no jedan njezin dio na račun ulova drugih vrsta riba od kojih se radi riblje brašno. Stoga se trendovi ulova i uzgoja kako pojedinih vrsta, tako i u različitim regijama svijeta znatno mijenjaju. Temeljni materijal za ovo istraživanje su podaci Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) o višegodišnjem ulovu i uzgoju riba. U radu se detaljno proučava FAO-va višegodišnja statistika ulova i uzgoja različitih vrsta riba u pojedinim svjetskim ribolovnim zonama, kako bi se uočili njihovi trendovi. Podaci su statistički obrađeni, te su ustanovljeni trendovi prema svjetskim područjima i vrstama riba. Analizirani su i podaci za Republiku Hrvatsku. Podaci o svjetskom ribolovu i akvakulturi su uspoređeni s trendovima u hrvatskom ribarstvu. Ribolov u svijetu pa tako i u Republici Hrvatskoj nema pozitivan trend, već stagnira te ga je nužno održati na sadašnjoj razini, dok akvakulturna proizvodnja konstantno raste, te će ubrzo premašiti količine ulovljenih organizama.

Abstract (english)

Fishing in the world's oceans has been a peaked, so overfishing of certain fish species and even entire fish communities, is visible in many areas. At the same time, the output of the aquaculture rapidly increases, but part of it includes the catch of other species of fish to produce fishmeal. Therefore, the trends of catches and farming of individual species, as well as in different regions of the world is changing significantly. The basic material for this research are data of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the multi-annual catch and aquaculture. The paper examines in detail the FAO in a multi-year statistics of catches and different species of fish in world fishing zones, in order to identify their trends. Data were statistically analyzed, and trends are established according to world regions and types of fish. The data are also analyzed for the Republic of Croatia. Data on global fisheries and aquaculture were compared with trends in the Croatian fisheries. Fishing in the world, including the Republic of Croatia, has not a positive trend, it stagnating and it is necessary to maintain the current level, while aquaculture production has been increasing steadily and will soon exceed caught organisms.
