Abstract

Kvaliteta kultivara ruža ovisi o nekoliko glavnih svojstava, kao što su boja i oblik cvjetova, broj cvjetova po stabljici te otpornost na bolesti, a kod kultivara koji se koriste za rez, i dug život u vazi. U posljednje vrijeme, međutim, sve veću važnost ima i miris cvijeta, a kultivari mirisnih cvjetova na tržištu postaju sve traženiji. U ovome radu analizirana je zastupljenost ruža mirisnih cvjetova na europskom i hrvatskom tržištu u 2020. godini. U katalogu ruža analiziranih europskih uzgajivača 24 % kultivara opisano je vrlo mirisnima. Među ovim ružama, 3 % pripadalo je skupini divljih ruža, 41 % skupini starinskih ruža, a 56 % skupini modernih vrtnih ruža. Najviše vrlo mirisnih kultivara modernih vrtnih ruža bile su hibridne čajevke (43 %). Među kultivarima vrlo mirisnih cvjetova izdvojeni su i opisani kultivari najboljih morfoloških i uzgojnih svojstava. Na temelju dobivenih podataka predloženi su kultivari pogodni za različite načine primjene u vrtovima i parkovima.

Abstract (english)

The quality of rose varieties depends on several major traits, such as colour and shape of flowers, number of flowers per stem, disease resistance and long vase life for cut-flower varieties. Recently, however, the scent of a flower has also become increasingly important and fragrant roses are becoming more and more popular on the market. In this work, the presence of fragrant rose varieties on Croatian and European markets in 2020 was analysed. In the rose catalogue of analysed European breeding companies, 24% of varieties were described as very fragrant. Among these roses, 3% belonged to wild roses, 41% to old roses, and 56% to modern garden roses. Most of the very fragrant modern garden roses were Hybrid Tea roses (43%). Among very fragrant roses, varieties with the best morphological and growing characteristics were identified and described. Based on the obtained data, rose varieties suitable for different uses in gardens and parks are proposed.
