Abstract

Najjužnije područje Istre, odnosno zaštićeni prostor Rt Kamenjak i mjesto Premantura, popularna je turistička destinacija s izrazitom kvalitetom mora. Na ovo se područje velikog značaja za turizam i ribarstvo, vrši ekološki pritisak kroz turističku sezonu, zbog povećane proizvodnje i odlaganja otpada. Otpad u moru (tzv. morski otpad) je definiran kao bilo koji postojani, proizvedeni ili prerađeni čvrsti materijal koji nije prirodnog podrijetla nego je proizveden, korišten ili odbačen od strane čovjeka izravno u more ili je u more dospio iz kopnenih izvora putem rijeka, otpadnih voda ili vjetrom. Otpad se pojavljuje u moru kao plutajući na površini mora, ispod površine (u vodenom stupcu), na morskom dnu, te naplavljen na plažama. U ovome radu provedeno je istraživanje utjecaja morskog otpada na ribolovni ulov koristeći jednostruke mreže stajačice. Korelacija između ulova i ulovljenog otpada nije uspostavljena, ali se ukazuje na značajan problem otpada u Jadranu.

Abstract (english)

The most southern area of Istria also known as protected area of Cape Kamenjak is a home to town of Premantura, a popular tourist destination with a distinct sea quality. This area of great importance for tourism and fisheries is under ecological pressure during the tourist season, due to increased production and waste disposal. Marine litter is defined as any solid, manufactured or processed material that is not of natural origin but is produced, used or discarded by man directly into the sea or has reached the sea from land sources via rivers, waste water or wind. Waste floats on the surface of the sea, below the surface (in the water column), on the seabed, and is often flooded on the beaches. This paper is a study of the impact of marine litter on fishing catches using standing gill nets. A correlation between catches of fish and catches of waste has not been established, but a significant problem of waste in the Adriatic is pointed out.
