Abstract

Kao najvažnije geografsko obilježje otoka Mljeta može se istaknuti njegov južni položaj na pučini hrvatskog Jadrana. Osnovna geološka karakteristika otoka je jednostavnost građe i sastava mezozojskih naslaga. Na karbonatnim stijenama otoka su se razvila krška obilježja. Klima otoka je mediteranska, nazivaju je još i klimom masline. Najraširenija tla su crvenica, smeđe tlo, crnica i kamenjar. U hidrološkom pogledu svojim značenjem se ističu blatine. Biljni i životinjski svijet je bogat i raznolik. U ovom radu posvećena je pažnja biljnom svijetu, točnije vrstama orhideja iz roda Orchis na otoku Mljetu. Podatci o njihovoj rasprostranjenosti dobiveni su iz FCD baze podataka (Nikolić, 2018) uz pomoć QUANTUM GIS programa koji je poslužio za lakše pretraživanje i analiziranje podataka o orhidejama, uređivanje i ispis istih podataka te stvaranje završne karte o rasprostranjenosti vrsta iz roda Orchis na otoku Mljetu.

Abstract (english)

As the most important geographic feature of the island of Mljet we can highlight its southern location on the Croatian Adriatic. The basic geological characteristic of the island is the simplicity of the structure and the composition of mezozoik sediments. Kastic features have developed on the carbonate rocks of the island of Mljet. The climate of the island is Mediterranean, also called the olive climate. The most widespread soils are reddish, brown soil, blacks and rocks. In hydrological terms, the importance of blatine stands out. The plant and animal world is rich and varied. In this research more attention was devoted to the plant world, more specifically the orchid species from the Orchis on the island of Mljet. The data on their distribution was obtained from the FCD database (Nikolić, 2018) with the help of the QUANTUM GIS program, which served to facilitate the search and the analysis of orchid data, editing and printing of the same data and creating a final map on the distribution of the Orchis on the island of Mljet.
