Abstract

U budućnosti, energija iz fosilnih goriva koštat će više od jednake količine energije iz biomase. Uslijed visoke potražnje za fosilnim, neobnovljivim izvorima energije i globalnim klimatskim promjenama, obnovljivi izvori energije dobivaju sve veći interes javnosti. Korištenje energije iz biomase doprinosi manjem stvaranju stakleničkih plinova u usporedbi s fosilnim gorivima. Biomasa je jedini obnovljivi izvor ugljika i sposobna je konvertirati se u prikladna kruta, tekuća i plinovita goriva. Sirovine biomase uključuju posliježetvene ostatke, energetske kulture, ostatke iz prerade, komunalni čvrsti otpad, životinjski otpad itd. Piroliza je termokemijski proces koji se koristi za pretvorbu biomase niske gustoće i druge organske tvari u produkte visoke energetske gustoće poznate kao bioulje i biougljen.
Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti mogućnosti zbrinjavanja posliježetvenih ostataka ječma, raži i zobi, uzgojenih na području Zagrebačke županije, procesom pirolize. Dobiveni rezultati pokazali su da su promatrane žitarice poželjna sirovina za proizvodnju bioenergije procesom pirolize.
Ovaj rad je izrađen u okviru projekta Hrvatske zaklade za znanost, projekt 3328 „Converting waste agricultural biomass and dedicated crops into energy and added value products – bio-oil and biochar production”.

Abstract (english)

In the future, energy from fossil fuels will cost more than the same amount of biomass energy. Due to the high demand for fossil, non-renewable energy sources and global climate change, renewable energy sources are gaining ever greater public interest. The use of biomass energy contributes to lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels. Biomass is the only renewable carbon source and is capable of being converted into suitable solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. Biomass raw materials include post-harvest residues, energy crops, residues from processing, communal solid waste, animal waste, etc. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process used to convert low-density biomass and other organic matter into high energy density products known as bio-oil and biochar. The aim of this paper was to investigate the possibilities of disposal of barley, rye and oats residues, cultivated in the area of the Zagreb County, with pyrolysis process. The obtained results have shown that the observed cereals are desirable raw materials for the production of bioenergy by the pyrolysis process.
