Abstract

Askomicetne gljive iz roda Cytospora (teleomorf Valsa/Leucostoma) značajni su endofiti ili patogeni organizmi koji se nalaze u drvenastim biljkama u prirodnim i agro-ekosustavima. Iako se smatraju oportunističkim patogenim organizmima, vrste iz roda Cytospora dobivaju na važnosti posljednjih desetljeća. Razlog tome jesu učestala otkrića novih i značajnih bolesti koje se posebno javljaju na kulturnim drvenastim biljkama. To se povezuje s povećanim izlaganjem biljaka domaćina stresnim uvjetima, kao što su klimatske promjene i intenzivniji uvjeti uzgoja kulturnih biljaka. Cilj diplomskog rada je na temelju pregleda suvremene znanstvene literature prezentirati nove spoznaje o patogenim gljivama iz roda Cytospora koje parazitiraju na drvenastim voćnim vrstama. Osvrt uključuje prikaz njihove taksonomije, značaja kao patogena, rasprostranjenost, simptomatologiju, morfologiju glavnih bioloških struktura, biljke domaćine, životni ciklus i mjere za njihovo suzbijanje.

Abstract (english)

Ascomycete fungi of the genus Cytospora (Valsa / Leucostoma teleomorph) are significant endophytes or pathogenic organisms found in woody plants in natural and agro-ecosystems. Although considered opportunistic pathogens, species of the genus Cytospora have gained in importance in recent decades. The reason for this is the frequent discovery of new and significant diseases that occur especially on cultivated woody plants. This is associated with increased exposure of host plants to stressful conditions, such as climate change and more intensive growing conditions of cultivated plants. The aim of the master’s thesis is based on a review of modern scientific literature to present new knowledge about pathogenic fungi of the genus Cytospora that parasitize woody fruit species. The review includes an overview of their taxonomy, significance as pathogens, distribution, symptomatology, morphology of major biological structures, host plants, life cycle and measures to control them.
