Abstract

Intenzivan antropogeni pritisak na okoliš praćen nepromišljenim iskorištavanjem prirodnih
resursa, rezultira brojnim ekološkim problemima koji narušavaju stabilnost ekosustava, a ujedno i kvalitetu života trenutnih i budućih generacija. Tema ovoga rada proizlazi iz navedenog problema s kojim se današnje društvo susreće te se temelji na istraživanju mogućnosti primjene principa permakulture u projektima krajobraznog oblikovanja, sa ciljem
kvalitetnije implementacije koncepta održivosti i postizanja održivoga razvoja. Prvi dio rada obuhvaća teorijski prikaz koncepta održivoga razvoja, koji će se razmotriti iz aspekta krajobrazne arhitekture i ekološkog oblikovanja kao njenog suvremenog dijela te usporediti s principima permakulturnog dizajna. Osim navedenog, teorijski dio rada bavi se razvojem i definiranjem permakulturnog dizajna, uz prikaz specifičnosti njegove primjene u urbanim sredinama. Razumijevanje urbane permakulture bitno je za drugi dio rada koji prikazuje analizu projekata permakulturnog uređenja, sa ciljem provjere implementacije načela permakulturnog dizajna. Na temelju analize projekata predložit će se principi permakulturnog dizajna za primjenu u krajobraznom oblikovanju.

Abstract (english)

Intense anthropogenic pressure on environment followed by recklessly usage of natural resources, results with many ecological problems which violate the stability of eco system and the quality of life for current and future generations. The basis of this thesis arises from mentioned problem of modern society and it is based on researching the possibility of applying permaculture principles in landscape design projects with the main goal of achieving sustainable development. First part of the thesis includes theoretical review of sustainable development concept, discussed from the landscape architecture perspective and ecological design as its contemporary approach, in comparison with principles of permaculture design. Except stated above, theoretical part deals with development and defining of permaculture design, presenting specifics of it’s application in urban surroundings. The understanding of urban permaculture is important for the second part of the thesis which presents the analysis of permaculture design projects, with the aim of assessing the implementation of permaculture design principles. Based on the results of permaculture design project's analysis, there will be determined permaculture principles suitable for application in landscape design.
