Abstract

Europska borovnica (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) je listopadni patuljasti grm koji autohtono raste uglavnom u sjevernom dijelu Europe, sjevernim dijelovima Azije, uključujući Japan te na Grenlandu. Vrlo je zanimljiva zbog svog pozitivnog utjecaja na zdravlje ljudi. Europska borovnica sadrži visoke koncentracije antocijanina u kožici i mesu ploda. U ovom radu istraživani su klonovi europske borovnice prikupljeni sa sjevera i juga Norveške, Švedske, Finske, Njemačke i Islanda. Klonovi su držani vani tijekom zime sve do cvatnje, odnosno oprašivanja. Zatim su preseljeni u prostorije s kontroliranim uvjetima klimatiziranog laboratorija gdje su čuvane u uvjetima 12 °C i 18 °C sve do berbe plodova. Svi su imali isti svjetlosni tretman, 24-satno svijetlo svjetiljke. Biljke su u 2016. godini zametnule 162 ploda više nego 2017. godine. Također urod plodova u 2016. godini bio je značajno veći u odnosu na 2017. godinu. Ukupan broj cvjetova svih klonova u 2016. je ostao isti kao i 2017. godine, no broj zametnutih plodova 2016. godine je bio više nego duplo veći u odnosu na 2017. godinu. Ugibanje biljaka se iz godine u godinu povećavalo, dok su se broj i masa plodova smanjivali. Sve to upućuje na težu prilagodljivost biljaka na uvjete u posudi. Klonovima je najviše odgovarala temperatura oko 12 °C . Klonovi koji su bili u uvjetima temperature 12 °C su imali znatno veći broj cvjetova i veći broj plodova.

Abstract (english)

Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) is a deciduous dwarf bush mostly native to the northern parts of Europe and Asia including Japan and Greenland. It is very interesting because of its positive impact on human health. Bilberry contains high concentrations of anthocyanin, both in the skin and flesh. In this paper clones of bilberry from the north and south of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Iceland were collected. Clones were kept outside in the winter until pollinated. Later, they have been moved to controlled rooms at the climate laboratory where they were kept at 12 °C and 18 °C until berries were harvested. All the clones had the same 24h-light treatment. In 2016 we had 162 fruits more than we had in 2017. Also the 2016 yield was significantly higher than 2017 yield. The total number of flowers of all clones in 2016 remained the same as in 2017, but the 2016 fruitset was more than twice as high as 2017. Through seasons was noted more and more dead plants, smaller number of fruit and less fruit weight. That indicates a problem of plant adaptation on conditions in pot. The temperature of 12 °C is better for the plants. Plants which were kept in 12 °C had considerably higher number of flowers and higher number of fruits.
